The Wooloomooloo Group extends their family to include a newly opened  restaurant, The Chop House.   Located in the brand new Soundwill Plaza II on Tang Lung Street, The Chop House is neighbors to Sushi To by Harlan Goldstein and the much-anticipated Jamie’s Italian.

Our decision to visit Enmaru Izakaya was an impulsive one. Which meant we made no reservations and I didn’t do any research beforehand (I like to read up on the restaurant and learn their signature dishes and know what to expect).

So, let me start off by telling you that we didn’t try any of their signature dishes….oops.  But, their non-signature dishes got me intrigued enough to blog about this izakaya restaurant.  This restaurant originates from Japan and features beautiful robatayaki grilled dishes. Read more >>

The Ippudo group has brought to Hong Kong a new ramen brand, Gogyo.  There has been a bit of mixed reviews on this new ramen joint out there, and I’ll let you know why later. Read more >>


Glasshouse Ahi Tuna Steak

I’ve been a bit conflicted with my verdict of the newly opened restaurant in IFC, the Glasshouse.  I absolutely loved the space that the Gaia Group has created for the Glasshouse, the presentation of food was stunning, there were a few hits and misses with the dishes but in particular I wasn’t particularly impressed with the service. High Street Grill Vegetarian Risotto

I wanted to write a short post about the delightful lunch we had at High Street Grill, a new addition to the Sai Ying Pun restaurant scene. It was a weekday lunch so they offered set menus at $98 for 3 courses.  We’re usually a-la-carte-ordering-type-of-people, but the selection on the set menu seemed interesting and the price tag was attractive compared to the a-la-carte choices, so we both got the set.
