Inagiku

Inagiku

Work hasn’t been exactly a breeze recently, so I’ve been easing my work pain with delicious meals on the weekends.  And last weekend when I was craving Japanese food again, we had an impromptu lunch at the fabulous Inagiku, located in IFC mall, adjacent to the Four Seasons.

For lunch, Inagiku offers a variety of lunch sets which include a salad, appetizer, miso soup and a dessert.  We started off with a light, crispy mixed green salad drizzled with what I got to say, was the best yuzu dressing I’ve ever had.

The stewed winter melon appetizer got my taste buds going with a surprise hit of wasabi.

I ordered the Sushi Set which had 5 perfect pieces of sushi and a mini sashimi rice box.

The miniature sashimi rice box was filled with a generous proportion of my favorite ikura and sea urchin.  Bite-size pickles were mixed into the perfectly seasoned sushi rice to add a textural element.

Hubby ordered the Special Chirashi Sushi ~ beautiful slices of sashimi layered over a bowl of delicious of sushi rice.

Lunch ended on a sweet note with a Japanese Green Tea Roll with Azuki and fresh berries.  I savored every bite of this decadent dessert, while hubby said he thought it was a bit too sweet for his liking (so I happily helped him finish his!).

Inagiku not only offers fresh and quality Japanese dishes, you can always expect impeccable service and breathtaking Victoria Harbour views as well.

We’ve yet to try dinner at this luxurious kaiseki restaurant, so I look forward to a special occasion where we can indulge ourselves in their signature tempura and teppanyaki dishes.
