I decided to start this Hong Kong food blog about a week ago. The thought of starting a blog never crossed my mind, until a friend commented on a Facebook post I made of my previous night’s dinner. He said that since I like to cook and post about my experiments, I should start my own blog. And then I thought to myself, “why not?”. A blog would be a great portal for me to share my food adventures.
And now, here we are, posting my first post. I contemplated for a while what I wanted to write about in my first post. Should I post about the last meal I made? Maybe a review of the nice Viet restaurant I went to this weekend? I finally decided on giving an introduction of the blog…but wait, wouldn’t I be repeating my About page? So, I told myself I will try not to repeat the material.
So, how did I come up with the name Salt & Chili? To be honest, there were quite a few blog names I started out with before I finally settled on this one. About the first 20 names I tried, were already registered domain names, go figure. I asked myself, what are the things I always put in my food ~ salt & chili! (you’ll get to learn that I love salty and spicy food) …and voila… saltnchili.com is born!
I promise my next post will be more food related, so expect either a recipe or a restaurant adventure. Welcome to my blog, and I hope you enjoy it!
